Venue
High1 Resort, Jeongseon
The congress venue, High1 Resort, is a successful example of regional regeneration in one of Korea’s former coal mining areas. The site utilizes mine drainage from the closed Dongwon coal mine, including innovative applications of mine water for hydrothermal/geothermal energy. Today, High1 Resort is a premier destination in Korea, featuring world-class hotels, a water park, golf courses, a casino, wellness programs, and scenic trekking routes.
