Full Paper Submission Guidelines
Abstract and Full Paper Submission
All abstracts and full papers must be submitted through the online conference management system, ConfTool. You must have a registered ConfTool account before submitting a full paper.

All submissions will undergo peer review, as with other IMWA publications. Manuscripts must strictly follow the provided template instructions and links.

The International Scientific Committee (ISC) will classify all abstracts as either Oral or Poster presentations. Both presentation types will be included in the IMWA 2026 Proceedings.

Due to the expected high number of submissions, full papers are limited to a maximum of 6 pages (DIN A4), including figures, tables, and references. Session Chairs will select the best papers in each session. Selected authors may be invited to expand and update their papers for submission to the journal Mine Water and the Environment after the conference.
Important:
  • Full paper submission and payment of registration fees are required for oral presentations.
  • Poster presenters may choose to submit either a full paper or an extended abstract, but only full papers will be published in the proceedings. Therefore, full paper submission is highly recommended.
  • Only full papers are indexed in Web of Science.
Full Paper Template
Please ensure the manuscript does not exceed 6 pages. Authors may also refer to the Mine Water and the Environment author guidelines and Tips & Tricks for writing.
  • Abstracts must be written in English and no more than 100 words.
  • The abstract is intended to provide an overview of the paper and cannot replace the summary, results, or conclusions.
Guidance for Poster Presenters
Poster presenters may submit either a full paper or an extended abstract using the full paper template:
  • Extended abstracts must be at least 1 page and may include tables, figures, and references.
  • They must include key results and findings and be uploaded to ConfTool for inclusion in the proceedings.
